MedPlatja Hotel Santa Mònica

“We stayed at Santa Monica Hotel for 7 days and had a very enjoyable experience. The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from the beach, which was very convenient. The food was delicious and varied, with a good selection of dishes available every day. Our room was comfortable and clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job, cleaning it daily. The only downside was the long queue for coffee during breakfast. My recommendation would be to provide separate hot water kettles for tea, which could help reduce the waiting time at the coffee machines. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.”

“Excellent one week stay. Pool area is spotless, loads of sunbeds (many more stacked in the corner so no idea where one recent review was coming from). WiFi around the whole hotel is very good so no need to pay for expensive roaming. Rooms are very clean and modernly decorated. Walls are thin as previously mentioned. Can hear noise from next door. Credit to Brian of the animation team. Cracking guy and puts the hard yards in to get some audience involvement. Even allowed a Cheerleading team that were staying at the hotel to do a mini performance! Food was good quality and varied. I feel qualified to comment due to my profession. Always fresh salads, show cooking (chicken, beef and fish), dishes kept under hot lights and cakes and ice cream for dessert. Even a big Nutella pump at breakfast. Pool bar served some great snacks - buckets of chips, hot dogs, toasties etc and the drinks from the bar were consistent and of very good quality. Location is perfect. 2 minutes stroll to the beach. Feel there are some unjust comments on some posts but everybody has a right to an opinion I guess. We really enjoyed our stay and with no complaints. Hope the hotel keep up the good work.”

“I was very satisfied with the hotel and stayed for four nights. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the balcony was nice. The breakfast service was excellent with a huge variety of options. The hotel also has a swimming pool, which was a great bonus. The only downside was the older man working at the reception around 00:30 when we arrived. Our group was tired after the trip, and the check-in process took about half an hour. However, it was still okay overall. The hotel is located about a 20-minute walk from the train station that connects to Barcelona, and the train ride takes around one hour. A return ticket costs about €13.”
